WAC BALES (SMALL PIES WITH MEAT AND POTATOES).

Today I with my favorite pies!))) They turn out very tasty, honestly!)))

In my opinion, the fresh dough tastes much better, our whole family loves VAK-belish just like that.
“VAK balish” – a traditional Tatar dish, literally “little cake” (VAK – small, Balis – pie).

You will need:

Flour – 700 gr.
Butter – 250 gr.,
Yogurt – 500 ml
Soda teaspoon – 1 teaspoon,
Salt – 1 tsp

Filling:
Beef (flesh) – 0,5 kg.
Potatoes (average) – 7 PC
Onions – 3 PCs.,
Salt, ground black pepper – to taste

For the broth:
Water – 300 ml
Butter – 50 gr.
Salt – 1/3 tsp
For greasing cake – 1 egg.

How to cook:

1. In a Cup pour 700 grams. flour. Grate(there) grated cold butter. Butter to grind with the flour to a state of crumbs. Salt.
In yogurt mix 1 tsp of baking soda to the buttermilk boiled and hissed, and pour it in a Cup of flour. Knead the dough. The dough should not be sticky and soft as the “earlobe”.
The finished dough to put in a food bag and leave to rest for about twenty minutes.
I kneaded the dough in a kitchen machine with nozzle hook

2. While “resting” the dough, prepare a filling.
Beef and potatoes cut into cubes, a side 1 cm are cut in a food processor with the extension “cube”, it is very fast and much easier to work.
Onions finely chop.
Mix meat, potatoes, onions, salt and pepper to taste. The stuffing is ready.

3. Start making pies.
Knead by hand the dough again and divide into two equal parts. One part put into the package (so that the dough does not zavetrilos, while we will work with the first part)
The first part of the test divide into 9 equal pieces and roll out them in the glomeruli.
Piece of dough roll into a round pellet about the size of a saucer.
In the middle of the dough put the filling, the edges of the dough raise to the top and semipaved in a circle, leaving in the middle of the hole we need it in order to pour the broth.
The same make with the second part of the test.

4. Cakes spread on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, grease with beaten egg and put in heated oven to 180 gr. for 20 minutes.
Then, remove from the oven, pour in the hole of each pie with 1-1. 5 tbsp of the broth, put back in oven and bake for another 40 minutes.

5. For the broth: in a pot pour 300 ml of water, add 50 gr. butter, salt, bring to boil, boil for 1-2 minutes and remove from heat. (if you have chicken or beef broth, you can use it)
VAK-belish served hot as a separate dish, you can submit it to chicken soup and sweet tea. Good to bring to work for lunch, and children in school to give for a snack. Incredibly delicious, Bon appetit!))
Store in the refrigerator in a sealed Cup, you will easily be 3-4 days before food can be reheated in the microwave, but you can cold eat, too delicious!)

P. S. the Dough we divide on 2 parts (9 pieces each), and the filling is also visually divided into 2 equal parts, and each part uniformly spread on 9 pies, so each pie equal number of toppings, and no residue.
And placed all at once on two baking sheets, which bake together.
